The Old Ones tell many tales of encounters with the wee folk. In certain places, and especially on Mid-summers day, one may happen on them unexpectedly. You may instantly lose track of them should you try and look at them directly, causing you to feel that your mind was only playing tricks on you. It is said that for the good and pure of heart, such encounters can bring naught but good fortune.
The wee folk love those who know how to be kind and to laugh and are most pleased to see good deeds performed. However, fuss budgets, sourpusses and lay-abouts had better look out, they will be noticed too. Disagreeable people will find their keys misplaced, their tires flat and their faucets dripping at night. And, they'll get frown wrinkles! So, you'd better watch out, they might be watching even now!
